Property Tax Valuation Time In Colorado!
The time is here when the Eagle County Assessor's office will deliver new valuations for property taxes. Colorado law requires a two year reassessment cycle for all property, 2019 is the first, or reappraisal year of the current two year cycle. New values were mailed on May 1, 2019 and you can find them online at https://www.eaglecounty.us/nov/ The appraisal data used to establish real property value was from the 24-month period ending June 30, 2018.
Take a look at your notice. If you don't agree that the value is appropriate, you may want to appeal the 2019 valuation on your property. The Assessor's Office will welcome appeals of the valuation of real property from May 1 until June 3, 2019. This may be done in person at the Assessor's Office or in writing via mail, fax or by automated online form. If you appeal on your own and need some market data our team would be happy to supply sales data. We would be delighted to connect you to a local appraiser or attorney who specializes in this dispute process as well.
