Mid-Year Real Estate Market Recap


The valley's real estate market is down slightly compared to a year ago with much of the decline in dollar volume due to fewer luxury sales to start the year. Overall, unit sales are down about 6% and dollar volume about 8%. These numbers are likely to balance out as we embark on the second half of the year as pending sales are up almost 17% (accounting for over $87m in volume) from a year ago and inventory levels are up compared to this time in 2018. The 30,000-foot analysis is helpful for trends, however, we have very diverse markets throughout the valley and your specific area of interest may be much different than a neighboring community.
