REAL ESTATE IN THE VAIL VALLEY SINCE 1971
After last year's high-end sales exceeding the norms, dollar volume is lower in both Vail and Beaver Creek Resort. That said, unit levels are about flat for the resorts and demonstrate continued activity - though the headline grabbing ultra-luxury sales, have subsided. Overall unit sales in Beaver Creek Resort are up about 7% compared to 2018. Vail Village sales are flat through the first 5 months of the year while Lionshead has been a slower market, with only half the sales compared to this time in 2018.
Inventory levels are on the rise and equal to this time last year. They should continue to trend up through late July/early August. Additionally, residential contracts remain up about 10%. With interest trending down and inventory coming to market we should expect a very busy time in the valley in June, July and August!
