In terms of the real estate market, one month makes it challenging to forecast a year, but there are some very positive initial signs moving forward.
First, inventory levels are rising and that bodes well as 2018 saw fewer sales than the previous year, due in large part to limited inventory throughout the valley. As we enter February, inventory is up over 13% from this time in 2018. Additionally, residential properties under contract are up 3.5%. Since the recession we have been able to track a direct correlation of increased inventory to an increase in contracts. Having both this time of year is a very positive sign. Showing activity remains strong and of course the snow has been exceptional this season leading to a great start to 2019!
